I think everyone can agree that being constantly barraged with the "comeback story" is getting old, and for some, maybe even irritating.
I mean, the announcers pretty much sucked this guy's cock for 30 minutes during his first round performance, not by talking about what a fine piece of power hitting we were watching, but how "miraculous" and "inspiring" it was coming from a reformed heroin/cocaine addict who gave his life to Jesus, had a dream about being here on this very stage, etc.
I think I speak for most baseball fans (casual or hardcore) when I say that I'd rather hear them talk about his performance on the baseball field than his turnaround off the field for the 40-billionth time.
