Those 4 errors in the game make up for us starting Rasner. Yanks scored 9 unearned, though.

    Sweet merciful crap.

    I hate the Yankees!

I think it'd take more like 8 errors to even out Lackey vs. Rasner. LA still would have won if the X-Man didn't show up. We need to bring up Ian Kennedy, he's lighting up the minor leagues and he was awesome at the end of last season. Send Rasner to the Mets for Heilman.

    10 unearned runs BTW

P.S. Jonathan Broxton has either warmed up in or pitched in the last 9 straight Dodgers games. Nice to see Torre's still a genius at managing bullpens.

Don't be silly. Rasner is god awful.

Heilman should be given a chance to start next season with Oliver Perez mostly likely leaving for a big contract (some team will give him the money) and mostly likely no Pedro (retire please) but the stupid Mets won't try it. Relievers are a flaky bunch who can be awesome one year and shit the next and Aaron has good enough stuff to start.

Nice to see the Mets heading back to the good ol' and very familiar .500 mark. If they don't sweep the shitty Padres I will be very annoyed.

Skip Caray, one of Harry's sons, died.

Nope, it was 9! At least we grabbed 13 RBIs out of it. I'm going to Atlantic City in a little while and because it's Joba's start, I'll be sitting in the sports betting room from 7-10 watching the game.

edit. No Sports betting in AC. Kill me.

    I just noticed this.

    Oh jeez.

I'm doing a tomahawk chop in his honour right now.

    RIP

  8. I'm sure Yankee fans aren't too happy tonight with Joba Chamberlain leaving the game with a "stiff shoulder" though they didn't say how serious it is. Its the same thing John Maine has and the Mets put him on the DL so he can get some rest and I expect the Yanks to put Joba on the DL for precautionary reasons.

I dont understand why Girardi left a struggling Marte to throw over 40 pitches in the 9th and allow him to pitch to Byrd when he had Robertson all warmed up.

So the X-Man has been fantastic for the Yanks as I figured he would. I wish he was still on the Mets. dammit

  9. Man, that sucks.

I grew up with Harry Caray on WGN, it was always awesome to see him go off on a tangent like this

Then get pulled for a relief announcer (Steve Stone) in the 8th.

  10. Nice to see the Phillies padding their lead again now. That slump was a little nerve racking but once they played Atlanta, I knew they would catch back on.

BTW, I just wanted to tell everyone in the thread who didn't agree with me: I told you Andruw Jones was a bum and a failure this year.

Also, just in case Yoshi decides to act like Yoshi...I wasn't missing because the Phillies were doing poor, I don't have ready access to the internet.
