who gives a shit? take it from a mets fan.
your bullpen has been pitching way over its head.and we still have a good bullpen
okay, let's not get insane here. the mets pen has been very bad for a relatively short period. and as bad as the pen has been the mets have been playing about .500 baseball over that rough patch.
According to the NY Post the Melky Cabrera Era is over in the Bronx as the Melkman has been demoted to triple A. Richie Sexson will be waived and he's out as well. They also said the Yanks have had internal discussions regarding putting Joba back in the pen. LOL What are they doing with Joba? Who will replace him?? Ian Kennedy?? He's already in the doghouse. I guess Phil Hughes and don't forget Carl Pavano! I guess this series with the Royals is a "must sweep".

I'm pretty amped about the Byrd acquisition for the Sox. His post-All Star break numbers are impressive. Bonus points for having a hilarious delivery.
Yanks should have given up on this season before the deadline and fattened up their farm system for a better run next year. They'd be able to let Joba and Hughes ease in as starters, trade the Melk man while he still has some value, and get rid of lots of the old dead weight to teams who want 'proven veterans(tm)'. Yanks fans know there's no hope this year, I don't think they'd have minded. Now they'll be in the same position next year.
