Sheesh, take 3/4 from Boston. Then get swept 3 by Toronto.
Awesome play by Manny yesterday, and it's lol-worthy as you can imagine.

Barf! Barf! Barf!
Geez Louise do the Padres suck. They lost 3 of 4 to the Cubs, giving up 27 runs, leaving 36 men on base and striking out 38 times (including 29 the last two games). Their team BA is around .200 the last three weeks, and is .234 for the season. Adrian and Kouz are the only regulars hitting over .260, and it's not like they have a bunch of high-ceiling prospects.
SD gets my vote for the worst team in the league, as they are currently two games behind the Giants.

if raystorm hasn't commented on the shitfest today i am sort of concerned for his safety
Good point, burg. Don't do it Ray!
I liked Wagner showing some heart and desire in taking a shot at the teammates too cowardly/inept to even deal with the media, although I am always in favor of blowing off the waste of human existence that is the NY media (and the Toronto media isn't much better when it comes to the Leafs unfortunately, I hate it). Screw them all.
But Delgado is a waste of space who can't even do that, awesome - and hey, I appreciate what the guy did for the Jays and liked him then, but fact is fact now, he's a hollow shell.

I haven't jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge...yet.
Willie has lost his team and the clubhouse seems divided. On top of that the Mets are playing lazy, gutless baseball and Willie is a Yankee sweep away from getting fired. Omar Minaya deserves a ton of blame as well but Willie will be the scapegoat.
I await to see if anything happens today regarding Wagner's call out which is similar to what LoDuca did last season (though his had a racial tone to it). Delgado really should stick around after games but leaving before reporters get to him is a habit. This team is really testing my patience and hairline.
Johan Santana apparently doesn't care for talking to the english media, at least according to ESPN. NYC reporters claim that he's never around anyways. He's been underwhelming so far considering his resume and hasn't had one great, ace-like game though he did have one great start against the Phillies. Other than that its mostly 6 and 7 inning affairs. John Maine has been better lately. Its time for Johan to show Mets fans that he is an ace tonight against the Yanks. If he stinks up the joint and Rasner makes the Mets look foolish (not a hard task lately) then the shit will hit the fan.

Jays probably aren't sweeping the Phillies...it's only the fourth inning and Jason Werth already has 7 RBI's. magnifiedplaid wasn't joking when he said the Phils got a good deal on this guy, he's been superb for the Phillies ever since he caught on last year.
Wow, it looks like Werth is having a great year so far. I just checked out Werth's stats for the season: .278 AVG, 7 HR, 21 RBI, and 6 SB in 115 AB. Its good to hear that Werth's wrist is finally healed and that he is getting some playing time somewhere.
He was one of my favorite Dodgers in '04 and '05 because he seemed to play with a lot of heart. It sounds like he is a good fit for the Phillies.
Those stats took a good change tonight. As of right now he's hitting .288 with 10 HR's and 29 RBI's after rocking out 3 HR's (and was just a 2 run HR away from completing the HR cycle) and collecting 8 RBI's, becoming the first Philly to do so since Mike Schmidt. What an impressive night for him.
