well, ive come to the conclusion that i need a new TV..but the question is (and i dont want to start a new thread for this) how do the TVs recently released in the past two years with all this component video and S Video jazz handle screen flipping (TATE mode on shmups) and subsequently screen burn/discoloration. I have Saturn S Video connections and have been itching to play DoDon on S Video. anyone?
I am using the component outputs on the DVD player, but they're connected using RCA cables. So I have three RCA cables from the 3 video outputs, and 2 for the audio.Originally posted by 007bond
Component cables provide an improved image quality compared to standard RCA cables. Basically, the standard video connection options in the US (from best to worst) go like this:
1)Component
2)S Video
3)RCA cables
4)RF adaptor
I would hook up everything you can via component that supports it, since your TV is wired for it.![]()
