That's why it's lol-worthy. It's an online game whose publisher staunchly refuses to take it to a platform that can do online properly. It's a succinct commentary on the utter cluelessness of the Japanese gaming industry.
Why did you delete your post, whoever deleted it? It was good.
I deleted it because there's no point arguing with PBMax.

To be fair, PBMax does have a point. Western PS3/360 developers have a hell of a time getting a big budget project greenlighted now unless it's an FPS, or close enough to it that they go after the same audience (Gearslikes, etc.). Publishers just won't take the risk.
Seriously, look at every major western game with a large development and advertising budget released like the last two years for those two systems, and the ones for this Christmas - the percentage is pretty high. Even the rpgs are going down this road, like Mass Effect & Fallout 3. And you can't really blame the publishers, they're just providing what customers want.
The only real successful exceptions have been Guitar Hero/Rock Band & Assassin's Creed. When I saw the trailer for Mirror's Edge and the gorgeous jumping scenes gave way to bullet-time FPSing, I knew that was what the devs had to shoehorn in to get concept approval from EA. More than one developer has bitched about this.
Of course, other games are still being made, but the tentpoles are almost all shooters.
