Here's a question. Given the average American income: In an ideal, hypothetical America, what would be a fair gas price?

Everyone is complaining about gas prices, and I'm right there with 'em. But given the above scenario, what would you be completely fine with paying at the pump?

Nothing is "fair" about a price. It's what the market will bear. Don't like it? Get your ass to Mars, er, the bike shop, move closer to work, change jobs, take the bus, ride the train, just stop fucking whining that something that's in high demand has a high price.
