Nah, I found the humor much above that. The whole beginning sequence where the trailer-trash couple are mass producing stupid kids while the smart, rich couple are waiting for the "right time" to have kids and never do struck a nerve with me because I see evidence of this everyday while working inside Wal-Mart. The general public really does seem to be getting dumber - Idiocracy just offers up a ridiculous possible future of progression (regression?).
Also - LOL at future Starbucks offering "Adult" services.

Comedies are probably the most subjective sort of movie out there, anyway.
Although Idiocracy isn't the sort of comedy I usually gravitate towards, but it worked for me anyway.

Idiocracy was great. It's the kind of movie I would write if I paid attention to the news. My wife mentioned a story she read in the paper about people bringing their young kids to bars with them now that there is a smoking ban in NJ.
Seriously. Real life makes Idiocracy awesome.
