Is anyone actually going to participate or am I wasting my time?
The last Photo Journal thread got a very positive response from TNLers and gave everyone a glimpse in the life of our favorite (and not-so-favorite) members on this site. I'm glad it did well because I think TNL has had its run of tom-dickery and needs to produce some good at least once in a while so members can get together and share something with one another.
So this edition is going to cover Memorial Day Weekend. Last time I did one day and that's normally the best way to do it because it keeps each individual post small and compact without dragging on. I also made it a Friday night to incorporate work and play for most of us with a social life. If you don't have much of one that's alright I still like to see what you do on a Friday night after the pressure of work is off your back.
So back to why I chose an entire weekend. Well, we all celebrate Memorial Day in our own ways. While a few of us will party all weekend, the rest of us may only do something Monday or celebrate the day before and such. Some (Un-Americans because we have reach to other countries) won't do shit, and that's alright. So to incorporate how TNL celebrates a 3-Day weekend that normally signals the start of summer, I'm going to give this from Friday evening up to midnight on Monday. I myself will probably only do just one day (Monday) because I may work in the weekend. Do what you see fit but let's lay some ground rules:
1.) Let's [simg] pictures to keep sizes in check
2.) Don't post until the end of Monday. That way it's easy to make this thread one-half preparation, one-half picture journals
3.) Don't go overboard with pictures. Because this is an entire weekend, I believe 15-20 max is ideal. I don't want to have one post with 50-odd pictures because you felt like going crazy with your camera.
4.) Give a story with each picture. Don't just post it, say "LOL OMG SO WASTED HERE DOOD!!!11!1!" and think you've done a great job keeping a photo journal. Make us feel as if we were there ourselves
5.) Netwurked has to post more band pictures because I laughed hard at those.
So I hope this one is as glorious as the last one. I had fun doing it and so did many of you. Just have a blast and keep me entertained.
