It'd be awesome if you did that. Thanks.

  3. Put it in the usual places and i'll try and watch it on saturday.

  4. Done.

  5. Hey cool! Thanks man.

  6. What a great movie! Took my by surprise, a good story, some really great acting and it was well shot. The pacing was great and even the end was enjoyable. Great recommendation.

  7. Glad you liked it. Yeah, I expect if more people would watch it they'd be pleasantly surprised that a b&w movie from 1957 starring Tony Curtis is really this fucking good.

  8. Picture quality on the DVD is really good too.

  9. The d/l was done by the time I got home from work today. I just finished watching it.

    FUCKING AWESOME.

"Now if you were Sydney Falcone ... I'd take a baseball bat and break it in half .... over your head."

That line was filled with so much awesome it made me pause the movie player. Lancaster's delivery was incredible. Calm, cool, collected, but manical. Pure awesome.

  10. I did catch this saturday before last at 4AM, insomnia lol

very cool movie. most movies that try to be cool overdo it and end up not cool at all. this movie tried to be cool, was cool, had cool characters, cool interaction, and best of all cool dialogue. and somehow after all the coolness being exhumed from every pore, it managed to be freaking all together cool

aside from the cool (think i got the point across), the relationship building between sidney and j.j. was one of the best love/hate scenarios ive ever seen on film. it was like a symbiotic host/parasite relationship with one feeding off the other just to survive. no matter how strong (or weak) one side was, if the other were to die off, so would the whole.

there were some really odd undertones dealing with love, emotion, and the lack thereof. especially between jj and his sister. seemed like his holding on to her was more than just brotherly protection. and even though sidney was in your face friendly he would turn on you in the drop of a hat just to make a quick buck

    snippets:

-awesomeness with being branded a commie and when that happens you are pretty much fucked
-bittersweet ending, hence the irony in the title
-seriously the dialogue, had me going wtf quite a few times, but in a good way

    a+ great pick!
