looks like ass
That's more of a "Shinobido is really, really ugly" than "this looks good."Miles? Dont get carried away now,Tain.
At this point, the Tenchu franchise needs to die. It's had too many chances to innovate, and yet has failed to deliver every time. Now, finally, it gets in the hands of people relatively competent with it, and they waste that opportunity by putting it on the Wii. Why can't I play a Tenchu on next-gen consoles that looks as good as Assassin's Creed, plays better, and is set in feudal Japan? How can there be such a disconnect between one of the earliest (and from the first two, arguably, best) stealth action franchises and where the genre is today?
That would be one of those "bullshit" statements. What Tenchu needs is to be done right. It only takes one good game to make years of failure irrelevant, especially seeing as I haven't wasted a cent on a single game in the series since the first one.

They're also the guys behind Tenchu 2, the worst fucking game in the series, by far. They took everything thatw as awesome about the first game (soundtrack, atmosphere, spiderman-like grappling hook, go-anywhere rooftop action) and threw it out. Luckily K2 brought it all back and then some for T3.
I loved Tenchu 1 and 3. They're easily in my top 10 of all time. But I have to admit that the series has slowly been turning to shit for a while now and I'm pretty sure that Acquire making a Wii sequel (which will probably end up ported to the PS2) isn't going to change that.

Gymkata: I mean look at da lil playah woblin his way into our hearts in the sig awwwwwww
I mostly skipped Tenchu 2 and just assumed people were vagflappin' on it.
Shinobido is all it takes for me to have faith, though. Build off that and we're gold. Ignore it and try to emulate older Tenchu games and it'll be garbage, but I'm guessing that won't be the case.
