We'll know in September. That response wreaks of collateral damage mitigation. The Collective did the best Indiana Jones game to date. Not that great, but not bad. Take that IDEA and make it awesome. I really liked a lot of LucasArts games. But if good developers get a crack at the Star Wars license I'll always be happy about that. Bioware rocked that shit harder than LA did.

WHAAAAAT. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis is best Indy game... and it's better than two of the movies.

Back on the main topic, I'd care more about this no-more-internal-development rumour if all the talented people hadn't already jumped ship to Double Fine and Telltale.

  3. Ya, I'm gonna have to agree there. Emperors Tomb was good and all, but Fate of Atlantis kicks the ever living shit out of everything named Jones and most of the things named Star Wars.

And Totally Games rocked it like five times harder than Bioware.

    On a sick day.

    When it was raining.

Alien Syndrome cancels out a great deal of their awesomeness.

It really doesn't. There's probably like 3 people left from the Tie Fighter days.

And this is why I have no hope for a true sequel to XvT.

  9. That's a shame that they lost their jobs. Hopefully they all can find a new home.
Send me your email if you have Real ID or your BattleTag I'm always online playing Blizzard games.

The new rumor stems from Shacknews, who was reportedly told by a reliable source that LucasArts plans to cut 100 more jobs upon completion of The Force Unleashed and outsource the remainder of Indiana Jones. Last Friday, LucasArts confirmed with Joystiq that they had laid off "a portion" of the staff."

"Should The Force Unleashed live up to the hype surrounding it, and a sequel is ordered, the current team size is said to be insufficient to handle such an undertaking. Given the fact that LucasArts stressed a continued commitment to internal developement following the layoffs, it will just need to re-staff for such a project – in which case, it has already let some top talent go – unless it intends to outsource to an external developer."
