Thread: Mega Man 9: Official Thread

  1. Man, I dont know how I feel about this. I always envisioned Mega Man 9 to be this epic game that at the very least was graphically on par with Mega Man 8 or Megaman and Bass. And that it would tie the older series to the X series in some awesome way.

I mean its very awesome in a new retro way and Ill play it, but in the back of my head Ill keep thinking it could have been touched up and made so much more better given a next gen touch or two...

  2. only on tnl could I find a heated debate over which megaman looked better, the 8 bit one or the 16 bit one

  3. I'm just happy to be getting a new, traditional MegaMan.

Hey, at least it's progressive! First Splash Woman, tomorrow Obaman!

I'm saying his 8-bit sprite looks great, and his post 8-bit sprites don't.

  5. Don't mind shidoshi, everyone. *whispers* He works for Play. *whispers*

  6. Did they just sit around a table and try to come up with the most uninteresting thing they could've possibly done with this game?

My thoughts exactly. Not what I imagined it was going to be at all...but the more I think about it I like the idea.

I would argue that this is the MOST interesting thing they could have done with the game. Takes a lot of guts and faith to make what is basically a new NES game in the year 2008.
