Looks like it'll be exactly what they say it'll be. I'm certainly not complaining.
Shit, they don't even use stretch effects when Megaman rotates around that thing.
I'm wondering what the chances of this really being emulated NES code are. That'd be some kind of first.
The idea sounded dumb to me, initially, but I'm warming up to it. As long as the stages and enemies aren't recycled art (clearly not the case), I don't think I have a problem with this approach. You can't do things like change the size of the player's sprite without changing how the game behaves, and if they want this to behave like one of the original six, they might as well take this route.

That GoNintendo thing makes me happy, i hope it'll be at the beginning of the games.
Also MM9 looks hotter than promised from the 2 seconds of footage. I think i'll buy another Nintendo one day, perhaps when i'm not dumping massive amounts of money into my scooter.
i love that it's got old music, too. now show us some bosses!
If that footage is real, then I'm very disappointed. This isn't "in the same vein" as the NES Mega Man games; it is a NES Mega Man game. I can remember when people bitched that Capcom was churning out the same game every year, and now you're all salivating over it?
This shit better be no more than 500 Wii points or GTFO.
I agree with Melf. This is stupid. There are already six NES games that look and play almost the same. Those were mostly good games but that's still more than enough in that style for one lifetime. Megaman rehashing has been taken to a whole new level. It wouldn't be so bad if this was called "Megaman Classic" or something but to have it as the official "9" is disappointing.
