I know the game came out two years ago. Shut up.

Anyway, I just finished the game. Damn fine one, too. New Dark Age ending. But I do have complaints. The ending sucked.

Are the other endings worth trying to view?

Deus Ex is incredible, a strong contender for my favorite game.

All 3 endings are okay. They are all brief. I made sure I saved and tried all 3.

What did you think about the game's length, Tain?

I thought it was a bit too long the first time I played through. I'm kind of glad that the sequel is going to be shorter.

Actually, I thought it was a nice length. I did feel some of the plot's side-quests, such as the whole Tiffany Savage issue, weren't really needed. But, overall, I really can't complain.

A while back I bought a "special edition" of Deus Ex. To my surprise (and pissed-off-ness) it was a preview edition which only contained the game up until...

I'll probably get the full game when I'm not interested in any other PC games, or during a slow time of the year. If I can't use my save from the preview version, I will be quite angry.

i'm playing through it as we speak... such a fantastic game... the level of freedom is incredible

...i'm at the part right after you leave hong kong...

too bad the game runs like total shit, even with a Pentium III 450 and a Geforce 3 (it's shitty right now, but for two years ago, it should be able to handle just about any game)... i mean, it runs comparably to morrowind (which is pretty damned bad)

Is it a possibility that the game is configured to use the software renderer instead of your video card?

Or that your video card has a slight incompatability issue?

No, it's not; not at all. But I wouldn't enjoy playing through a second time, and having it just end there was a bummer.

FirstBlood: Did you get the patch? It really helps speed up Direct 3D performance.

Hell, without the patch, there was a large amount of slowdown on my friend's P4 1.8 Ghz GeForce2!
