Speaking of the combat controls, I simply have no idea how this would possibly work on console, unless they actually have an onscreen cursor that lets you position your individual party members. Positioning really does matter in this game, and it matters more than any BioWare game post-BG2.

They get around it by making friendly-fire less of an issue on consoles. Positioning is really the big difference between the versions since you simply cannot manually control more than one character at a time on consoles.

I'm loving this so far, Dwarf Noble is a nice but typical noble exchange 3 siblings your eldest is in line to become the next king but an assembly could name you it, while hte youngest convinces you to kill the eldest and then springs his trap having you exiled, the eldest dead, and him the only one left

I was having trouble deciding what type of character to make -- I'm not sure what sort of party members you can pick up down the line. I think I've settled on a typical sword-and-board Warrior type. Initially I wanted an Archer, but the talents didn't look super exciting to me.

What difficulty are you guys playing on, and how is that panning out so far? Can it be adjusted once you start the game?

I'm surprised Bioware released a 2009 multiplatform game that at least seems pretty close to Baldur's Gate like this. Not that I'm all that in the know on Baldur's Gate, but still.

The new Bioware community site is actually pretty useful. When it's working correctly, you'll be able to see achievements, character information and uploaded screenshots.

I'm really liking this game even if it's incredibly difficult at times.

A lot of it is just pulling enemies separate from their pack, which to be honest is kind of annoying cause it's not nearly as exciting as slaughtering a big group in one big melee.

I do really like being a dwarf in this game.

I am annoyed that yo ucan't hide your helmets, they ripped so muc hfrom WoW, why not that, since all the helmets look dumb as shit.
