Good to see you back on the boards DacaZ. I'm in an abusive relationship with TNL myself. It kicks me to the curb sometimes and smooshes my face in my own poop from time to time, but I just can't quit her. Also, there's many times I'm bored at work with not much to do.

I watched this. It wasn't terrible, but the character didn't work as well as it did on the show. Bruno was always funny for two main reasons:

1) Taking the piss out of the fashion industry. This wasn't even attempted, presumably because they all know him now.

2) For showing how incredibly uncomfortable people get around gays. This is attempted here, but it doesn't work because he's doing over-the-top things that would obviously make anyone incredibly uncomfortable, even if it was a straight guy.

I checked this out with high expectations, because Borat was incredible, but Bruno flat-out doesn't work. It's got a couple really funny parts, but the overwhelming majority of the movie is Cohen being obnoxious. Borat was far more subtle, which brought out interesting reactions in people. Frog nailed it; nobody reacts to Bruno's homosexuality in this movie, they react to him being a giant asshole. Even in the hunting scene, everyone's tolerant of Bruno until he starts trying to get into their tents naked.
