the ali g show over here had all three characters. was it three separate shows across the pond?

Bruno is just as good of a character as Borat or Ali G, though he might not be quite as versatile. But all of these characters are really about the reactions they get more that the character himself, and in that regard Bruno is really great at getting a rise out of people.

Ali G did some stuff on the street as well, like when he went to the police academy or interviewed no-nukes protestors.

He mentioned that even by the time he was doing Season 2, Ali G was too famous for him to catch a lot of people unaware. Bruno and Borat were lower profile, though I'm sure Bruno is pretty well known now too so he's probably going to have to mess with hillbillies without cable.
