Sony and MS don't (mostly) have fanbases comprised of dumbass retards though. I doubt they'd go for that.

Still, I imagine that the systems won't be behemoths, which pretty much makes me a born-again PC gamer in waiting

-We get repackages of current gen tech

or

-Current gen gets a life longevity while nintendo plays catch up on tech.

Yeah...of the two, option 2 is preferrable. No point to buying a system that isn't any better than the previous

I don't see a problem with this gen's tech lasting close to 8 years. Some of the best shit always comes late in a lifespan.

With the amount of other responsibilities, I'm usually behind on my games or still enjoying them from an MP perspective long after they should be old news. I'm still enjoying COD4 and H3 coming close to a year now from when they were released.

I don't know about fading, the PS3 had it's biggest month ever thanks to MGS 4. Remains to be seen if it can keep it up this month.

There isn't going to be another MGS4 though, they will never get another exsclusive that big. And I'm pretty doubtful to metal gear staying exsclusive for more than a year.

That's true, but FFXIII is going to sell more PS3s than 360s. The PS3 doesn't need big-name exclusives to grow its userbase anyway. To the average gamer it's a much easier sell because of the Blu-Ray drive and the Playstation brand name. The RROD thing doesn't help either.

Yeah, this was a mild surprise to me but I don't know why since those numbers are completely reasonable. WHOOO 360!!!
