The increased user base from MGS4 accounts for all of maybe 400k - 500k units world wide, THAT'S IT.

Except that thats how many PS3s it sold in the US alone this past month? MGS gave it a boost.

It's a $400 console, no shit? The increased sales probably had more to do with the $100 rebate deals they had going on at the time of the MGS4 release and stimulus checks than MGS4 itself.

Game coverage is actually really good this year, there is a lot more to it than the 3 press conferences.

Worldwide is an easy win for the PS3 I'd imagine. But even in the US I'd expect it to have far greater appeal to the demographic that would buy a PS3 over a 360, even though the 360 somehow turned into the console with all the jRPGs. Personally I have absolutely no interest in the game and I know I'm not the only one.

Does it really matter which console is "winning"? As far as I am concerned, both have good games, though I and many others here feel there are more good games on the 360. Whether either MS or Sony wins or loses this generation, they are both still going to be here, at least as far as we can tell, for the next generation. Buy the system that has the games you want and STFU about numbers and winning and shit. Its annoying already.
