3. Matrix - When the WB intro shows up prior to the movie all the way through to when the credits began to roll.
2. Aliens - When the door opens up and Ripley comes out with that exo-suit and dukes it out with the alien queen.
1. Prelude to Foundation - When the Mayor of Wye reveals to Hari Seldon right in front of Hari's protector, Chetter Hummin, that Chetter and Hari's pursuer, the emperor's right-hand man, Eto Demerzel, were the same person. What blew my mind when I read this was that it seems like something that can only be effectively done in books. The book openly describes Chetter's actions and Eto's actions throughout the story, but you picture them as two different people because you couldn't see what they look like. If this was made into a movie, they'd probably have to physically disguise one of the characters or have Eto Demerzel off-screen. But then people would probably figure it out half-way through the movie.
