I think we should get grades and then all beat up the person with the best grade for being a teacher's pet.

Sounds good!
Tonight's experiment:
Eraser work would be a little tighter, but, my laptop is desperate for more memory. All the little vector dots terrify it.
I'm pleased with how much it looks like real zip-a-tone though, very print looking.
Looking forward to messing with a tighter dot pattern after I put another gig into this thing. For now, I'm putting the screentone idea on the shelf for a bit so I can finish this image up proper... and prepare for YellerDog's Drawing School For Gentlemen #2!

I'm givin' this a shot to keep me busy. Give me a day or so and you'll be able to openly mock my art!
Here's my attempt...
YellerDog, cool thread.
I'm digging JM's, Frogs and yours thus far.

The screentone experiment almost works, but you'd have to either use a few tones or cut way back on that one I think. I really like the idea but it seems like it only half works.
Kind of a wanky first run, I'll admit. Picked up some more RAM this evening, should be able to actually deal with the file now.
Nice to see you taking a crack at it, Jason.signature, man.
If you feel like revising it, look back to what I was telling the other guys, same stuff applies here. Also: never ever shade until you've got the linework down. 100%.
