  2. Eh, if I remember correctly, the peak oil doomsayers have saying this was going to come in 2-3 years for the past 10 years.

  5. A Saudi Royal family insider blew the whistle last year that by generous estimates we have only spoiled about 18% of the world's oil potential. Not accounting for undiscovered reservoirs or oil wells which have mysteriously been seeping again. It was on the radio though so who knows what the fuck is going on.

    It doesn't much matter, that runs out too.

    We're really not prepared for this yet. In the future we'll be rationing petroleum to make plastics, not for running vehicles.

    This is extremely true. We COULD get a head start if the government watched over companies to which they direct grants for exploring new energy just a LEEEEEEEETLE bit, though...
