The problem is everytime I play a new batman game, two things happen.

1) I want a game where I can play as the joker and whip batman's ass. (Special character unlocked: You've unlocked Wesley Willis)!

2) I start searching ebay for grappling hook guns.

Ugh, I'll be buying this by the end of the month.

some hard mode tips:

1) make your combos X, Y, X, Y, X, Y because they WILL endlessly attack

2) buy the Y+B takedown move and special move shortener asap, because RT+Y just leaves you wide open for 5 minutes and they WILL attack you (see 1); also take out any knife wielders with this takedown immediately if they're in the gang you're fighting

3) during boss fights with big henchman + smaller henchmen, use evade to get around the smaller ones instead of wasting your time doing the combo from 1 and focus on the boss

Wow, I'm an idiot. Got through that with ease and played for a few more hours. This game is fanfreakingtastic.

It really is great, I'm getting home and diving into challenge, it's going to be jawesome.

hard mode isn't really harder, but it is a bit more challenging because you do less damage, the bad guys do more & are far more smarter (you can't swing between 3 random gargoyles and lose them now, and they love to gang up on you for those pot-shots) and you lose the obvious counter animation atop goons' heads

I did think it was kind of cheap being able to get shot at and then two gargoyles later they forgot where I was, but honestly that helped me through a spot or two.
Going to the store for some shit then going to 'the party' the end I assume?

speaking of, a goon spotted me out of the blue chillin on a gargoyle just now so they're definitely more aware

edit: also those wing nuts that show up post-harley damn near killed me on my way to the arboretum which is both amazing and sad
