I really liked this game too! I had a lot of fun with Elebits also. Endless Ocean is pretty fun but I have a distinct feeling that Joust (and many people, for that matter) would not be amused by it. PS3 Aquanaut's Holiday is about to make it obsolete anyway.

  2. So you are saying that a 10 or so year old PS1 game is better than the Wii one?

True on the Xbox HOTD 3. HOTD 3 is better with the Silent Scope light rifle, which has a pump action reloader and recoil.

The Wiimote works good enough on Ghost Squad, but you need a little more precision in the sniping scenes than on the arcade. The dot sight on the Wii one is a bit touchier (I think the heft of the arcade GS gun helps stabilize it a bit).

Forget about Target Terror. The game started out decent in the arcade, but broken controls and stuttering kill it. Konami should consider a PS3 port for Guncon 3- the PS3 has 512 MB, so RAM would not be an issue.

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)

  6. Razor, my offer still stands.

For gun games, I have yet to pick up Ghost Squad but Link's Crossbow Training is pretty good. If you're looking for modern arcade gun level progression, it probably won't be appealing as it's a mix of gallery-type levels and some simple third-person shooter action but if you dig the Twilight Princess universe (somehow I doubt Joust does) and want an old-school gun game, it's worth playing.

  8. Okay, this is the thread to ask:

I hear that the Guncon 3 is technologically mad-similar to the Wiimote.

How does the Guncon 3 in TC4 compare to the Wiimote in, say, Ghost Squad? Does the Guncon 3 behave just like a light gun? Is Ghost Squad just like a "configure this way and as long as you don't move closer to or away from the TV it vaguely aims right"?

Guncon 3 seems to be more accurate to me than the Wiimote, but every now and then the shots seem to be off. Ghost Squad is great because it allows you to calibrate within the game so it is fairly good, but you are right, you don't want to move too far off from your original calibrated position.

  10. So Guncon 2 is as good as it gets? So much for the march of technology. That's pretty disappointing, I was thinking Guncon 3 would basically be Guncon 2 for HD.
