I know a couple of people who own small bars in NJ and all of the bars business has INCREASED since the ban went into effect. Because there were a SHITLOAD of people out there who didn't want to go to bars and deal with cigarette smoke. Hell I'm one of them, I hated going to bars and coming home with a congested nose, and a mucasy throat and having to deal with that for the next two days. It made it worth it to stay home to not deal with that. Once smoking in bars was baned I was in bars all the fucking time.
Its one of the best things about going out now, my clothes don't reek, I can breathe when I get home, its soo much fucking nicer. Stop being a whiney little bitch and step a few feet outside and smoke.
This argument is so fucking retarded. How can you not see that asking smokers to go outside is less than what you're asking of non-smokers to deal with cigarette smoke.
So lets see some printed hard factual evidence that smoking bans have hurt business'. Other than "I work in the restaurant business and I know!!!".
