I had some reservations about SGU as well, but after watching the pilot I too am optimistic. It definitely has a younger feel just for the sake of the younger soldiers cast, and Robert Carlyle helps add a more serious tone to it. I really enjoyed the cast of Atlantis, and that was a driving force for me to keep watching even when the show wasn't at its best. Anxious to see how this one develops.
The show seems like it is just going to be about Robert Carlyle screaming at everyone saying that they are too stupid and won't listen to him.. getting a bit boring. It's like Stargate Galactica, but not as good as either show.
well, now that it's back from its hiatus they must've realized the shitty earth drama is shitty and appear to have written it out, and there's aliens now so that's a plus
still 6 shades of stupid though (and very little gate action which is another stupid turn of events), we'll have to see how the rest of the season pans out
Well, the second half premiere kinda explained the lack of gate action, ship drama is cheap, gate action expensive, and so is CG blow shit up action.
I think it's actually kind of stupid the way things have turned out following the two latest episodes, plot wise.
Young should have shot Rush and the Asian chick as soon as they pulled that mutiny shit. Spaced em out an airlock. Now we get more whiney shit. I mean come on, right after Young and Rush make peace Rush turns around and declares war? Just dumb.
So what, they just left that shuttle down there on the planet as a calling card, waiting to be discovered by uber aliens? shame about all those spare parts they just lost...
Season finale next week. SG-1 cameo's a plenty the past few weeks, leads me to believe next season they will establish some way of getting people back to earth.
