This season's tempo is weird. Most of the dialogue serves to advance the excessively intricate plot and quips less often than it used to. It passes over jokes for story, racing to cover narrative track. At the same time, it doesn't cover much ground, and some of the more expository scenes drag. It's like it's running furiously on a treadmill but thinks it's in a track meet.
I'm disappointed, but still had myself a good old time, or GOT, watching them over the past few days. Not as G as the OT I had watching seasons 1-3 over the past month, but G.
