They also write each episode, direct them, correspond with the Korean animation team, they had to find a new agent, animation studio, and storyboarding software for season 5, and it still manages to be one of the the most consistent, entertaining animated shows on TV where they don't insult the intelligence of their viewers. For a show on basic cable where they get to retain basically full creative control, I'd say it's a damn miracle.
See Opaque's responseEntire feature length movies are hand drawn in less time. Plus I think the last special wasn't, and was done in the sealabs/archer/etc way of doing it. Season just wasn't there for me, Season 2, some parts of Season 3 were the highlights for me.
