Did anyone else catch this? I just watched the first episode and really dug it. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.

Is this that Vampire show I heard about?

Yeah, in it vampires have been out in society for a couple of years. China came up with this synthetic blood stuff that they can drink so they don't have to drink from people. Doesn't stop them, of course.

There's other stuff going on that they've touched on but haven't quite revealed. Anna Paquin's character can read people's thoughts, but not the vampire's.

All in all, it seems like it will be a pretty good series.

The first episode was alright. Could have used some more vampire stuff, showing fangs doesn't really cut it. It has potential but it's too early to tell, could go either way.

Was the nudity good? Um, I mean, "Was the writing intelligent?" I saw the first few minutes because it was on after Bill Maher, but it is almost impossible to get me to watch TV without threats of violence.

The nudity was minimal and the show seems pretty corny.

I'm going to keep giving it a chance since it's from the Six Feet Under guy.

A lot more nudity than I thought there was going to be.

It was a first episode. Basically, I think there's going to be an interesting series happening here once they get past the usual start-up issues (sassy black girl, for example) and get some storylines running. I liked the last scene quite a bit, simply because it promises that the show can hit hard when necessary.

I got a free rental of this at Blockbuster a couple of weeks ago (it's just the pilot) and it wasn't bad. I don't have HBO anymore so I'll wait for the series to hit DVD.
