Good thread, stormy.
Growing up, my hobbies were...
1. Video Games
2. Playing Sports (Hockey, Baseball, Soccer, Football, Tennis, Track)
3. Sports Cards (Baseball, Hockey, Basketball, Football)
4. Toys (Star Wars, Transformers, G.I. Joe, Masters of the Universe, TMNT, etc.)
5. Watching Sports (Baseball, Football, Hockey, Basketball)
6. Politics
Now, they have really just been re-ordered for the most part:
1. TNL
2. Watching Sports (Hockey, Football, Baseball, College Basketball)
3. Politics
4. Television (Certain shows on DVR only)
5. Bitching about Video Games
6. Playing Video Games
7. Toys (Very few Star Wars and Transformers)
For the record, I don't consider kids of the human or furry/feathered/scaled varieties to be hobbies.
Not in any particular order:
-Photography
-Videography
-Video Games
-Movies
-Music
-Hiking
My old hobbies were:
- Video games
- Dungeons and Dragons
- Movies
- TV
- Drinking a lot
My new hobbies are:
- Exercising
- Riding my bike
- Reading
- Writing
- Movies
I'd consider pets a hobby. You don't have to buy one, you do it because you enjoy it. I considered putting it on my list. I like going to the dog park and taking them on long walks. I feel like it's not a responsibility, it's something I chose to do for fun, which makes it a hobby. (a similar argument can be made for kids but that's a natural drive, and isn't necessarily done for your enjoyment specifically)
Old Hobbies
1. Video Games
2. Anime
3. Basketball
New Hobbies
1. Girlfriend
2. Video Games
3. Anime
4. Colts [FTW]
5. Playing basketball.
I was surprised Yoshi put playing video games on his list at all.
Anybody posting here who didn't put vidoe games on their list is fronting vehemently.
