I'm about 15 hours in and this game is good.

Not great, not the best RPG ever, but good. The look of the world and the music is just fucking phenomenal and everything else is just decent enough that you don't put the game down. Everything else constant with a different coat of pain and no one would have given a single fuck about this game. The same coat of paint over FFXII and you'd maybe, literally, have the best game ever made.

It irritates the shit out of me that FFX is the one being remade for Vita. Although I won't be contributing, I hope it sells well enough to provide incentive to bring FFXII as well.

IF WE KNOW SQUARE, FFX doing well would just result in FFX2 HD being announced for Vita. Or something... Actually, if it did terrible they'd probably announce 10 sequels, cancel 6 of them after the first 4 did terribly, then scrap the Final Fantasy brand altogether, citing terrible sales of shitty games that no one asked for in the first place. There would be a single really good FFX spin-off released to PSP in Japan, never released in any form to the US even after it's completely localized, and after that, I HOPE YOU LIKE GREE AND CARD GAMES THAT INVOLVE TOUCHING THE SCREEN TO PAY MORE MONEY FOR BULLSHIT.

I guess they're bratlings? I don't know. I most see them on GameFAQs. I recommend a perusal of any S-E/FF thread if you want to feel sick to your stomach.
