So I don't think anyone has mentioned this here, but there's a French horror movie that was released on DVD earlier this year called Inside.
This movie has the type of plot that is easily spoiled, and i really don't want to do that because this movie is fucking awesome. Its simple but really effective. It is really graphic and gory, the gore level is about on par with say, The Hills Have Eyes remake, yet it is perfectly balanced with suspense, which is amazing considering how far it goes. The acting is awesome and completely believable, and being completely unfamiliar with most French actors I didn't recognize any of them, which made the movie even more immersive. The cinematography is as good as I've seen in a horror movie, its fucking beautiful and uses a lot of deep shadows to dissect and close up rooms, really exacerbating the claustrophobic atmosphere of the movie.Originally Posted by Some Amazon reviewer
I urge you all to buy a copy of this movie or at least rent one, I honestly believe its one of the best horror movies made in the last 10 years or so, and we really need to support films of this pedigree and stop throwing our money away to the Hollywood remake machine.

Watched it the other week. Wow, it was fucked up and so tense. Quite an ending too.
I've been working my towards picking this up.
As much as I don't like the name, the Dimension Extreme titles have been fairly solid horror movies.
From the ones I've seen at least.

Yeah, I think its unfortunate that it has such a shitty cover with this big Dimension logo thing on it, it makes it look like a Saw sequel or something.

I just watched this. I'm sweating, I feel like I'm about to vomit, and I'm shaking a bit.
I don't consider myself to be a horror movie vet or anything, but I'm normally ok.
I had to turn this off just as she starts cutting her shirt off on the stairs at the end.
I don't know if it's me just recently going through childbirth with my wife or what, but i couldn't watch that. When the cop wakes up and turns the lights on, and beats her and the blood splats down on the floor between her legs, my skin went hot and tingly and I got light headed.
I've never had to turn a movie off before.
Holy fucking shit. Maybe I'll give it another go in a few months.
