Atlanta hasn't had a pulse since Hossa left.
Tonight Halischuk is out and Sutter is starting Vrana with Rupp and Bergfors. Wat.
Atlanta hasn't had a pulse since Hossa left.
No, they're starting on the same line. Rember the Halischuk, Vrana, Rupp line? Basically expect a three line rotation for 50 minutes, the top defensive pair to get gassed, and a goal against.
I'm glad the Devils couldn't fit Schneider under the cap. He's so generous that he scored for them for free.
I move we stop talking about the Rag and Isle scrubs and start talking about Parise getting 50.
It was very clear tonight why Valiquette is the Rangers backup.
Parise just might get 50 if the Devils keep giving up 3-5 goals a night. I'll take it.
Just got back from the game/friend's house. Wow, Atlanta is TERRIBLE. Marty's injury is supposedly not serious but if it's a tendon or something in the elbow, who knows. I hope he's back cuz I'm at the game on Monday against Buffalo.
Watching the tail end of Rangers in 60 to see how the hell the NYR lost. I was so surprised to see the oot scoreboard on my way out of the arena.
That first goal was a great shot that you can't blame Valiquette for too much, but it never should have happened. Rangers were all over on that play and didn't do enough.
The second goal was all Valiquette. It's like he just forgot to stop the puck, it was just sliding in and it didn't even look like it was tipped at all.
The third one was a perfect shot on a perfect screen, nothing the goalie can do, but the Rangers still look a little flat-footed even after the timeout.
Valiquette shat himself on the fourth goal. Jesus. Rangers lost all the momentum after that big save on Toskala and once the Leafs fans started going it was like a freight train.
Oops and Valiquette noobed himself on the fifth too. LOL. Hardly matters, after the third goal the game was pretty much over and the Rangers were busy playing like shit. The killer goal here was the second one that Valiquette allowed.
Funny, this happened after I had explained to my friends about how dominant the Rangers have been in the third all year. Toronto sure doesn't quit though, do they? They have some speed too. But you can't really call them good.
Renney looks beyond pissed. Well, you can't play 50 minutes and win. Though today Marty played 23 and recorded a W, and the Devils didn't really do too much in the third. In fact they allowed themselves to get seriously pinned down for a few long stretches in the third.

I agree with you, Cow. That second goal, which I can't remember if it was tipped or not, might have affected Valiquette's confidence to thus "open the floodgates." Still, he was doing a good job on the Leafs earlier, nevermind his career history against the team. I wouldn't mind him following CuJo as being Toskala's or Pogge's back-up in the future.
They got hot and fortunate at the right time to get one from the Rangers last night. However the Leafs coming back from two-goal deficits as they have thus far this season amazes me.
