Since January 2 (my daughter's birthday), this has been the worst calendar year ever across the board.
At least he'll be well rested for the playoffs, for once. I don't see them missing the post season.

The good start has given us a bit of a cushion to weather out this rough stretch, and our next game is against Tampa Bay so we might get it done, but it's going to be a struggle to go .500 from here on out even after the team does get healthy.
And I mean, Weekes isn't AWFUL. He palyed brilliant last night, we were outshot 20-3 in the first period after taking 4 minor penalties and he only let in one goal...against Buffalo, but the team couldn't produce shit. 0 for 7 on the power play, eventually 24 shots and Parise had some really great chances, but eventually the Sabres got a deflection to make it 2-0 with under ten remaining in the third, and that was it.
The team can play, but they'll have to play for 60 minutes for real now, and they just haven't managed to do that in years.
