Anybody ever consider just packing a bag with some essentials for staying alive and walking out on your troubles and cares?

met this guy bill on our camping trip a couple weeks ago. he called himself a "through hiker" cause he just did the pacific crest trail, mexico to canada. all he did with his time was hike around on his retirement dollars from the marines and social security. seems like a pretty kick ass lifestyle if you ask me. heres a picof him and his dog thor (the other guy on the left is a friend of mine, not a hobo, despite scraggly beard):

I've considered this, though I'm still young so I'll wait until I really fuck up or something.

I wouldn't be a hobo though, my idea was more of going out to the mountains and living off the fat of the land. I bet I could talk Finch into doing it with me.

I mentioned in the "Go Economy" thread that I wanted to be a nomad in Europe or Asia. I still do, actually. It's just going to have to wait a few years when my student loans are taken care of, since I do want to come back to society some time later.
