  10. Recovery time does get longer--that's just how it is. At 20, I could play 3-4 games a weekend, be a little sore for Monday and then move on. At 35, if I do the same (no mid-week practise) and play for one game, I'm gimped for 3 days. Or, a few months back, started to work out--hadn't in years--didn't go all out, did what I could and felt good. Subsequently could not lift my arms for 3 days.

    Speed hasn't gone yet, lost some, but it's mostly endurance--smoke too much.

    It's a relative thing, though, since most people do not exercize at all, if you do even a little, you'll be relatively better. You just can't wake up one day and decide to go full bore--you have to ease into it.
