Update: I spent the day with her just to see if we could remain friends. Before, we weren't really dating, just 'good' friends (or as BooMsta called it "Fuck Buddies"). I figured that maybe we could still get along, but it just didn't work. She seemed completely uninterested in my life and was only putting up with me.

My heart isn't broken, but I'm am a bit disappointed in how it all turned out. Thanks again for the cheering up, fellas.

heh...that class of 'buddies' is quite common these days...probably won't be the last time you hear of it either. keep your chin up man, both of you.

All I can say is, I've been "friends" with more than a dozen women over the last eight years or so, and experience has taught me - it really sucks. That's all I can say about that.

Fun with experiences:

I tried to be friends with my first girlfriend after we broke up. However, she still wanted to be more then that with me, and sabatoged my next relationship. I never spoke to her again because of that crap.

My last girlfriend, who broke up with me, said she wanted to stay friends, but I knew I loved her too much to make that possible, I'd just end up being miserable with her around, even more so if her boyfriend was ever around. That and the pathetic way she broke up with me combined into yet another female I've never spoken to again.

Gah, being friends after any sort of relationship where it isn't known by both parties beforehand to be a fling or one-night stand never works out afterward, because someone's feelings get tossed in. At least, that's all I've ever encountered/seen happened.
