You're right on the polling. It's an utter disaster. These people don't know shit. I wonder how things would have gone had 538 actually showed it to be a 50/50 election.

Oh - it will never happen. we will vote against our interests time and time again, and this is wishful thinking on my part. I don't know how I feel about better with the rest versus worse on our own right now.....come back to me in a few months. I blame the Boomers, as always.

Don't rip the pollsters. You guys play games. You know you roll low often. Polling error was poor but the race was never close to a guarantee. 2016 year of the upset.

Well pollsters treat qualitative data (an ballot expressing predicted opinion) as quantitative data. People in my industry do this all the time, because they have such a hard on for measurable results. For a widespread poll like this, in a country that is skeptical of government, it's bound to be a disaster. Canadians are fucking census nerds on the other extreme.
