    Pure Hobbesian bullshit.
Only in large groups does this happen. Small groups of people govern themselves just fine.

This emo-tastic rant just shows how low on the evolutionary thought scale this child was. He whines about people being useless and not doing more with their intellect, but fails to see his own hypocrisy.

    Wisdom? No, I think not.
oh hay its mo7! HAYYY!!!! ahem!

I've always felt the ability to record our knowledge outside of ourselves is what makes us unique. Other animals terraform to a small extent (ants), use tools (monkeys, ravens) and bend the natural world to their will (otters). But sometimes people are just broken without any chance of being better. Our problem is we believe people can change as the norm rather than the exception. People don't change.

  4. The human animal doesn't change, that's for sure. Our population is too big and interconnected for that to happen.
Culturally and intellectually, though, there's plenty of room for growth and betterment.
Unfortunately, it isn't much of a priority.

Look, he's so smart and deep that he transcends the rules of language.

  6. This kid wasn't totally wrong. He just never had the chance to take a decent sociology or psychology course to put it into context.

His real problem is that he's a psychopath. He has all this rage inside him and he sees others around him as not human, robotic, he feels no connection to them. That's why he was able to do what he did; normal people aren't able to depersonalize their surroundings to the same degree. In part the culture he was in put him into this anomic state that let him get to that point, but most of it was him.

In another life, he would have just gone into insurance.

just to play devil's advocate, the other kids probably were pretty stupid. I don't know about you, but when I was in school the average person was pretty dumb and lacked much dept.

However, that doesn't justify what those kids did. Everyone has feelings and a heart. Just because you have 2 or 3 complex thoughts for every 1 that your fellow student has, doesn't give you the right to kill them.

This kid was f'd the day that he stopped looking at others like they were people. He was self centered and wrongly thought of himself as some sort of standard.

people can change. It's really easy for kids to change. However it is much harder for adults. And I'd also say that one's ability to change as they get older is heavily dependent on their own intelligence and problem solving skills.

Like right I'm having to change to make the most of my last few years of school. It's taking a lot of reflective thought and problem solving. And even then, its still hard, cause the old me does crap that is counter productive without thinking.

But people can change. Its just a matter of will power and/or intelligence. (which are neither the norm HA =P)
