    RocknRolla

Pretty much everything you could want from a Guy Ritchie movie. Gerard Butler is hilarious. All the usual elements of a Ritchie movie are here; the slick/cheesy dialogue, criminal fumbling, complicated pooch screws where everything ties into each other, etc.

This is the beginning of a trilogy, which I had forgotten until the last two minutes of the movie, so it's great as a stand-alone and is good as an origin story. I'm actually really glad this one is getting a straight sequel, I really like the characters that will cross over.

Some of this may be sillier than the past stuff he's done, but the jokes work...at least if you go with someone who has a sense of humor.

I think the two Russians are still alive and will make it into the next movie.

  2. Yeah I enjoyed it too. I mean, it seems to be getting a lot of negative press, but it's a Guy Ritchie movie. If you're in the mood to see a Guy Ritchie movie, this will satisfy you. I guess I don't understand where all the negative feedback is coming from. Guy Ritchie is still the best person who does Guy Ritchie movies, and to me, this is as good as anything he's ever done.

  3. Is it better than Revolver?
I hated that movie more than I hated Swept Away.

Yeah. It's Guy Ritchie back in form, doing what he does best, and not trying to do anything he can't (Swept Away).

If you liked Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and hated everything else he ever did, you'll like Rocknrolla.

    That's Revolver.
