I tried a few more games, the best being Flipside, which is a game that uses both sticks but you don't shoot anything. Each stick moves a different ship on each half of the screen and you have to avoid barriers. Pretty cool, probably best played on either a not huge screen or sitting far away because you really have to concentrate on the entire horizontal area

Ok, found another- Retrofit- Overload is really good from what I've played so far. It's basically a Galaxian-style shooter that moves fast, looks good, and controls great. The whole thing weighs in at under 3MB, too.



The graphics have had some tweaks since that trailer. Power-ups are more obvious and bullets got a color-change. Other than that, it's pretty much what you see there.

How does it compare to Decimation X?

Decimation X? When did that come out? I'd never seen it before.

-edit- Ok, Decimation X bought and played due to it being more than a little great. I'd say Retrofit- Overload is the better game overall, but doesn't rank quite so high on the awesome-meter as Decimation X. They're $1 apiece, though, so no reason not to own both.

This game is pretty damn rad. The Engrish is even MORE rad.

I just soooo wish it had online multiplayer. So far I'm loving it, but I can't imagine anytime soon I'd be able to get four people together to play it in person.

Oh, and it's all about the Amazon's boomerang.
