Thread: Xbox Indie Games Thread

  1. Blockey

Best $1 I've spent in a while. Fun as hell! It's like an updated NES Ice Hockey.

Can you imagine jyoung with an iPhone?

  4. Actually, I tried all 80 of the XBLA indie sports games over the weekend, and Blockey and Hurdle Turtle were the only two I liked. Most of 'em are just shitty Avatar games.

Hurdle Turtle is awesome, but it gives me a headache. It's like a full game of the Battletoads' Turbo Tunnel:

Fun game, but when it kicks up the speed up to Turbo, I can't take me no more Turtle. Just too much speed for my head to handle.

  5. That looks awful.

  6. bububut it's a labor of love man

  7. Dude, it has Turtles with Moustaches.

    Moustaches!

But yeah, it's like a full game of the Battletoads' Turbo Tunnel level with killer 8-bit music.

Sadly, I just don't think the human brain was designed to withstand that sort of mental mindtrip.

    Shut up.

  9. Mad trash, IMO. There are great throwback games, this is not one of them.

  10. I take it back, I managed to find one more good game in the sports section:

    NO STICKY BALL
    CHALLENGE YOUR MATES

Seriously, the ball physics are real loose and awesome. And the twin stick gameplay feels great.
