Looks good I think. I like all the actors in this movie, plus it doesn't have Jonah Hill, who was the most unlikeable part of Superbad imo.

It was pretty good, like Superbad in tone except the drama/comedy ratio is flipped (Superbad is more comedy, Adventureland is more drama). It still had its moments of being really funny though. I like Bill Hader, but he doesn't get too much screentime. Bill from Freaks and Geeks is in it playing... well. Sort of a grown up version of Bill. Ryan Reynolds is more of a serious/sad character in this and doesn't do a lot, which seems a waste. And Jesse Eisenburg goes on to remind everyone of Michael Cera.
Fun all around. I don't think I've seen a movie with that many Lou Reed references.
This movie was phenomenal. My favorite movie of the year so far. It's just an honest, coming of age story with a great soundtrack and a bittersweet autumnal tone. Sooooo good. Well written, directed and acted.
It was marketed piss poorly though. Everyone I talked to said it wasn't as funny as Superbad, which it wasn't, but it wasn't supposed to be like Superbad. Too bad they marketed it like it was Superbad Part 2 or something. People went into it expecting that and were disappointed when it wasn't that.
I liked this MUCH better than Superbad though. More my style of movie.
does this movie have anything to do with the Adventureland on Route 110 in Farmingdale, NY?
It's based on that place, Greg Mottola worked there as a kid apparently.
nice, I'll have to check it out. I've gone to that place a bunch of times when I was living in Long Island.
I just saw this last night and the first thing I thought of was: Why the fuck did they market this like another teen comedy? If anything it was Clerks: Amusement Park. I liked the movie a lot though, but think it would have been seen by more people if it were marketed correctly.
