I watched this recently, I thought it was ok. It was a lot drier than I expected. It lampooned the genre amazingly, all the way down to how it was edited. With some slight tweaking of the script it would be a straight up homage. Still, I was expecting it to be funnier.

Short of it: Adult Swim cartoon of Black Dynamite voiced by the original actors and a one-shot comic book. I thought the movie was pretty awesome, but not sure if I care about this.
