It's true, this movie ruled. I really, really enjoyed it. I thought the went a bit overboard at the climax and there were some moments of odd CG (that stands out WAY harsh when everything is so vintage). It could use some trimming here and there, but over all fuckin

What's amazing is that, aside from the bad CG (like the guy on fire), this movie looks like it was actually shot back in the 70's. Grain, bad editing, wacky camera work, you name it. Damn, did this movie rule.
It sucked when Bullhorn (an obvious parody of Dolemite- I mean, that actor had his speech and mannerisms down perfectly) got killed.

The bad CG really didn't start to appear until near the end. There are only a couple of spots, especially the guy on fire. It's like Frog said, I don't know why they just couldn't have used stock footage there instead of CG. It would have worked just as well.
We made sure to point that shit out at the group afterwards and everyone was saying how much it sucked. I mean, a major reason people liked it is how authentic it came off with the spoof being subtle. Maybe they'll change it?
THAT'S IT!!!
The movie was the funniest shit I've seen in a long time. Could hardly hear the movie over people laughing at times. It was delivered with a straight face and totally in character except for the aforementioned 2-3 CGI shots that we bitched about to the marketing people after that looked too modern.
The focus group was kind of an odd insight to how they do some of their research. The people were cherry-picked, and 25/25 loved the movie, and the marketing dude seemed to have trouble understanding why.
