How you can have these elements in combination with millions of dollars in budget and hundreds of cooks to share their rad ideas, and come out without one goddamn "holy shit that was AWESOME" moment to show for it is ridiculous to me. Anything less than an unbroken string of those would have been embarrassing enough, but none? I can't even interpret that as anything other than everyone involved collectively deciding to willfully piss on the opportunity they were given.

And you think the guys who blew that chance are somehow going to make a fleshbag villain who can't even take a punch head-on entertaining? I sincerely doubt it.

Ehhhh you have a point. Movie needed better action. The saving grace is that both of these movies are more entertaining when Stark is on-screen. That government panel was pretty rad, with Stark taunting the Senator. I don't mind in battle when Ironman himself isn't the centre of attention. Where I start to get a little upset is when you have War Machine on camera and he's not tearing shit up non-stop. The air battle between Iron Monger and Ironman in the first film was OKAY, I guess. Also some of his anti-terrorist weaponry and engagement in the first was good, too.

I would like Iron Man to explain how there is no kinetic energy transfer from the suits to the wearer on impact. Just something that's always "got me" about the IM flicks. Did Stark really build in inertial dampers?

Seriously. Suspension of disbelief people, it's a funny book character who's pretty damn faithful to source material. I'm not exactly sure what everyone complaining wants.
