    Metal Gear Solid

Alright, I never did buy mgs because at the time I was never into that kind of stuff. Anyhow I've decided that I will finally get this game (since it gets so much praise) and I'm just wondering which version to get? I could get the PS version (which I can use a controller) for i dunno how much, OOOORRR i could get the PC version for 20... Anyone know any differences between the 2? which one should I get?

  2. the pc version is like the original running thru bleem on the dc. id go for the pc version simply because of the higher res that it is. the games are identical tho. i have them both....just make sure you get a PSX style pad for your pc (like a gravis) so you can correctly map out the functions the way it was meant to be. the sidewinders only have 2 shoulder buttons and MGS is better played with 4.

He he, can I get one of thoughs cheap 10 dollor psx wannabe pads? does this game make any use of the analog sticks? I think thoughs might be another 5 dollors

  4. hmmmm never tried it. i would imagine you could map functions to the nipples...dunno if they'd be analog tho. besides, MGS and it's sequel are much better played with the d-pad. the analog is way to loose to go up and break necks with.

Although the PC rev is great, I would suggest getting the PSX rev; play it on the console it started on. Even though the graphics are low-res, it has a certain charm to it. That's the way I see it anyway. Get the one that best fits your tastes.

  8. Get the Playstation version, because there is a scene where Psycho Mantis performs these cool little tricks with the dual shock and your memory card, which I doubt is in the PC version.

  9. Well, Either get PSX version, which should be very cheap by now. Or go with DC Bleemcast one, for better quality graphics.

  10. i can't even look at PSX 3D graphics anymore without getting nauseus (sp?)..
so i'd have to recommend either the PC version, where the controlls may be questionable, or on the DC running through bleem!, where the controls may be even more questionable (i haven't tried it, so i'm not sure if it works out with having only 2 shoulder buttons instead of 4)..
MK2 on XBLA plz - let the unfolding of gameplay begin!!
