It's Stone Brewery's Kona Coffee, Macadamia, Coconut Porter.
my roommate brought me a bottle of this last night. yummy, but not quite as rich as i would have liked. nice coffee flavor, a little bit of bitterness at the end. i liked it. however my friend who had a bit said "tastes like drinking beer after doing coke." im not sure about that, but i guess it didnt appeal to his taste.
    Wear more flannel.

I've got a bunch of this in my fridge. Mr. K introduced it to me in London and the we found a pub down the block from my flat called Hobgoblin...with Hobgoblin on tap. Everything that Wychwood Brewery does is top notch. Their Wychcraft beer is one of my favorite beers ever, although Hobgoblin is certainly the easiest to find.

I posted this in the coors light thread by accident:

Got my notes from the fancy time beer tasting I went to today. I'm pretty sick, so I didn't stick around as long as I wanted to, but that's life.

    Brooklyn Black Ops
Coffee, wood, smoke, high alcohol flavour. Second favourite beer of the day.

    A Leq Qoc 1999
No carbonation. Velvety. Appropriately bitter. Very smooth. Solids at bottom of glass.

    A Leq Qoc 2003
Same as 99 but not as mellow. More of an alchol taste.

Heavy Weight Saison De La Sour
Light, refreshing, citrus, summer beer. Pilsner spiked with orange juice.

    Ommegang Cave Aged Abbey
Farty aftertaste. No perceptable difference from normal bottles.

    De Molen Rasputin
Cocoa, coffee, thick mouthfeel, low alchol flavour, almost sweet? Favorite beer of the day.

    Schlafy Oak Barleywine
Caramel, thick, nutty. Oak. Standard barleywine. Tasted like the cork?

    Thomas Hardy 1999
Thick, very sweet, syrupy, like scotch ale with candy melted in it.

  6. Ooooh! La de dah!

    Also: Josh likes Qoc

  8. New Favorite beer of the week:

Downtown Brown, by Lost Coast Brewery. I like dark chocolaty beers and this one fits the bill. Also my last name is brown, and I feel a strange kinship...

This is a beer I found mysteriously in the fruit drawer of fridge. I have the greatest friends.. hiding little present for me to find later.

I've only gotten about 5 hours of sleep in the last day or so.

Has anyone tried the Sam Adams Imperial White? It's almost $10 for a 4-pack, which scares me a bit for something I don't know anything about.

    pussy.

It's ok. Probably not worth the $10. Pretty drinkable for 10% ABV but I'd spend my money elsewhere.
