I don't know why I'm so upset about Pete. My whole mantra for seasons and seasons was "I just want him to be okay." And last night, he WAS okay. He gave the greatest sales pitch of the entire series, to his own wife, and he's choosing the right path. He's surpassing Don and choosing life, etc. So i don't know why i'm so miserable

well, it's more the futility of each character basically "going back home" - don goes back to being an aimless drifter, joan goes back to being an oppressed woman not getting her due, pete goes back to being a wandering eyed family man, etc. It's like nothing has changed, yet everything has.

But yeah I'd be Pete's wife in like 3 seconds yah

With every passing year I realize more and more than you are who you are and you can't change it. You just have to figure out exactly who that is and try to make it work for you.
